About Pictured Rocks

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore stretches 42 miles along Lake Superior between Munising and Grand Marais. The sandstone bluffs rise up to 200 feet, stained red, orange, and green by mineral seepage. The Lakeshore Trail is one of the best multi-day backpacking routes in the Midwest.
