About Eagle Harbor

Eagle Harbor is about 20 miles west of Copper Harbor on M-26, which is the most scenic road in the UP. The harbor is a nearly perfect crescent of protected water — shallow, clear, and lined with fishing boats and kayaks. The 1871 Eagle Harbor Lighthouse is one of the most photographed in Michigan and still operates. Agate Beach east of the harbor is one of the better spots to find Lake Superior agates at low light. The village has fewer than 100 year-round residents, a general store, and no cell service worth mentioning. That's the point.
